Clean Power Finance and North American Solar form a partnership to sell residential solar financing to homeowners. The partnership with CPF differentiates North American Solar in a competitive market and supports the company’s mission to bring affordable and clean electricity to its customers.
Although the battle between utility companies and distributed solar has heated up of late, we’re starting to see a trend of progressive energy companies working with, rather than against, rooftop solar. A recent example is OneRoof Energy’s partnership with Choose Energy, an energy comparison shopping provider.
Is it a case of, if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em? Or do the more progressive utilities really believe in solar? Either way, a few more of these cases are starting to emerge.
We just heard about another partnership with a utlity company that’s helping electricity customers go solar. Homeowners who buy energy from electricity provider North American Power can now opt for clean, affordable solar electricity. That’s being made possible with a new partnership between North American Solar, an affiliate of North American Power, and solar financial services and software provider Clean Power Finance (CPF). North American Solar will sell residential solar financing to homeowners through the CPF Market.
“CPF is excited to partner with one of the fastest-growing and most innovative retail energy providers in the U.S.,” said Clean Power Finance CEO Nat Kreamer. “North American Solar knows how to sell energy to homeowners. North American Power has distinguished itself in retail energy with high-volume, cost-effective customer acquisition practices it can quickly transfer to residential solar.”
North American Power, one of the top fifteen retail electricity providers in the nation, serves more than 320,000 electricity and natural gas customers nationwide. The North American Solar partnership with CPF differentiates the retail provider in a competitive market and supports the company’s mission to bring affordable and clean electricity to its customers.
“As a leading platform for solar capital and services, CPF is a natural partner for us,” said Kerry Breitbart, chairman of North American Power. “We give consumers the products and tools to make a real financial impact on their lives. Selling solar is a natural extension of our mission to bring superior, environmentally sound electric services to our customer base.”
