Solar Goes to the Super Bowl! With First Power and Light Brand Awareness Campaign in New York

First Power and Light, LLC signs an agreement with CBS Outdoor launching the company’s brand awarenes campaign in the New York Metro area. The campaign includes billboard advertising along the major highways immediately around MetLife Stadium, and is slated to run for a month, starting two weeks before the NFL’s big game.

Brand awareness is something more often associated with products like soft drinks and cars than with solar. Now, solar companies are making an effort to change this. And one company is even centering a campaign around the Super Bowl.

First Power and Light, LLC (FPL) has signed an agreement with CBS Outdoor for a brand awareness campaign in the New York Metro area. The campaign includes billboard advertising along the major highways immediately around MetLife Stadium and is slated to run for a month, starting two weeks before the NFL’s big game. It is expected that the stadium will be visited by more than 400,000 people coming into the area for the big game.

FPL is expanding its sales efforts into the New York Metro area to help clients benefit from the various solar power related incentives available in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. FPL said it intends to open an office in the New York Metro area once the volume of sales and installations warrants the increased infrastructure.
