American Solar Direct (ASD), a residential solar provider in the California market, today announced the appointment of Kevin A. Bauer as its President. Bauer has served at ASD in the capacity of Chief Financial Officer since joining the Los Angeles-based company in October of 2013. He will continue to serve as ASD’s Chief Financial Officer in conjunction with his new appointment as President.
Bauer came to ASD with more than 20 years of experience in finance and business, with a diverse background in investment banking and private equity placement. He has held multiple CFO positions during his career, with a demonstrated track record of successfully growing businesses as an executive team member.
Prior to joining ASD, Bauer was a managing director at Global H2O Investments (GHI), a San Diego-based private equity firm which he co-founded. GHI provides project finance capital for the development and acquisition of water, wastewater, and “waste-to-value” infrastructure assets, and also invests directly in related operating company business models.
“Since joining the company, Kevin has proven himself a remarkable asset to American Solar Direct. Kevin’s numerous contributions, in addition to his project finance and clean energy acumen, make him an obvious choice to lead our company,” said Chief Executive Officer Brennan Mulcahy. “Under Kevin’s leadership we have already made great strides towards our goal of making affordable, renewable power more accessible to American homeowners, and I’m confident that under his guidance we will continue our upward trajectory towards this goal.”
