SolarCity Joins the New York State Smart Grid Consortium

SolarCity, the nation’s largest rooftop solar power provider, has signed on as the New York State Smart Grid Consortium‘s newest member. The NYSSGC is a public-private partnership devoted to statewide implementation of the smart grid. SolarCity employs more than 9,600 Americans, serving thousands of customers across 15 states, and specializes in solar installation for homeowners, businesses, schools, non-profits and government organizations. The new partnership with the Consortium will provide both parties with new resources to promote solar and clean energy in New York.

As a non-profit organization that serves specifically to enhance the grid throughout the Empire state, the New York State Smart Grid Consortium provides businesses with the platform, tools and resources to identify opportunities that show the most promise for broader smart grid technology deployment.

Organizations that are interested in getting involved with the NYSSGC as a Full Member or Associate Member, can request additional information online here.
