Sonnenbatterie has had a pretty good year. First, the company won the 2015 Bloomberg New Energy Pioneers Award. Two weeks later, Sonnenbatterie announces its partnership with Sungevity in the U.S. and European markets. This week, Sonnenbatterie announced a new partnership. The company is teaming up with Outback Power Technologies to include their Power Radian inverter/chargers in Sonnenbatterie’s new line of U.S. residential storage systems.
“OutBack Power’s Radian inverter/charger was a natural choice to integrate into Sonnenbatterie’s eco residential smart storage system,” said Boris von Bormann, CEO of Sonnenbatterie USA. “Working with OutBack, we are confident we can provide American homeowners with the peace of mind our European customers have come to expect from Sonnenbatterie — that their home energy storage system will operate reliably in any environment and applications.”
Meanwhile, Outback Power’s general manger, Harvey Wilkinson, said, “As a leading brand in the off-grid market and emerging grid-connected energy storage space, OutBack Power’s integration with Sonnenbatterie’s self-contained residential power platforms are a natural extension of our systems philosophy and approach for ensuring owners have reliable power in any location…. We have a shared belief in the importance, utility, and future of residential energy storage, and our joint endeavor will align with market demands for energy independence and reliability without building new plants for peak capacity.”
Boris von Bormann added, “The partnership between Outback Power and Sonnenbatterie further demonstrates our commitment to the U.S. market, by providing an energy storage solution that integrates high quality components.”
As the storage market heats up, the clean energy playing field begins to look a lot different.
