Vivint solar continues its expansion into three more areas in Massachusetts. Vivint, which has installed more residential PV systems in Massachusetts than any other company, says it will hire up to 240 employees in the new locations.
Vivint Solar, now the second-largest U.S. residential solar installer, is continuing its rapid expansion. Yesterday, the company announced its expansion into the Taunton, Marlborough, and Holyoke areas of Massachusetts. It’s a state primed for increasing solar development, so Vivint will be positioned well to continue its high-profile presence there.
According to Greentech Media Research’s Q3 2013 Leaderboard, Vivint has installed more residential PV systems in Massachusetts than any other company. Vivint says it will hire up to 240 employees in the new locations, bringing more jobs to the area.

Vivint helps homeowners save money through a power purchase agreement (PPA). A homeowner can buy the power generated by a solar PV system at a lower rate than they could get from a local utility provider. Vivint Solar designs, installs, monitors, and services the system with no additional out-of-pocket costs to the homeowner.
